This is what Ohlone Community College looks like right after the sun sets. Romantic.

I broke into Color Me Mine and took this picture.

aaand the colors at this place made me pull over and shoot it.

I TAKES PICTURES EVEN WHEN YOU'RE TRYNA HAVE A MEAL SON.

Three words to people who are camera shy. "Don't be it." If you feel weird about how you look in pictures, don't acknowledge the camera. You'll look worse if you bury your face in your hands like you're crying. Trust me.

Rich people get "Shopping Centers" where they walk their dogs and buy 5 dollar cups of organic coffee. The rest of us get malls with annoying teenagers who wear their backpacks everywhere.

I takes artsy pictures anywhere. Make this one your desktop background.

This guy lives across the street from us. His dog would bite everyone til we called the pound and they put him down. Now he rented a huge truck because he's finally leaving our neighborhood. WIN.

Don't know where the parking lot ends or where it begins. Sort of.

This guy's the "Dennis the Menace" of our neighborhood.

Captivating beauty.

Quit hitting yourself Wendy!

What it looks like when I walk out the door. Sunny Summer mixed with flowery Spring. It creates what I call "Sprummer" or "Sumring." I haven't decided which one yet.

I might need a late pass on this from Pixar movie fanatics but I was looking through one of my favorite blogs You Thought We Wouldn't Notice and I found the trailer for this Pixar movie that is said to hit theaters Easter 2011. It's about a Macaw that leaves his nest in the states and heads out to Rio De Janeiro, Brazil.

Looks like it'll do pretty well if you ask me.

This place has become a landmark in my book. I love their sushi.

Snapshots of my day.

I caught Daisy in the middle of an epileptic attack. (Just kidding)

This guy showed up at our door wearing an Original Fake trucker hat. Delivering Chinese food in style.

Wendy's so cool at driving.

Orange you glad I didn't say Nike's!? (Sorry)

Summer Night Eve.

Mom kept yelling at the cats.

I call this one "Lunch."

Life through my eyes today.

AJ keeps his mug on mean.

Daisy's so cool MTV asked her to be on The Hills. She replied, "What is that?"

This girl.

The books we read don't have words. Words are hard.

Doggy.

We had lunch at Strings out in Tracy. If you're ever in the neighborhood get the Creamy Pesto on Angel Hair. Hands down best Pasta you'll ever have.

I present you with my beat up old Blackberry. I turned it off for the night so there will be no blogging or going out. I'm taking the night to rest and remember why I'm doing all of this in first place.

I started La Pink One so we could have a place to go and share what we see and what me and my friends consider make us young "Californians." The Bay, LA, SD, and every other part of California has its own subculture and it makes us altogether unique. I love this lifestyle and I love knowing I have a blog where I can share what I love about life with all of you. Whether you steal my pictures for your Tumblr or you come to read my lame remarks regarding the amateur pictures I post, I thank you. All 5 of you, and I hope you keep coming back and emailing me with suggestions of cool stuff to do around here.

I went to a show at Beatnik Studios in Sacramento.

I had AJ the Twitter celebrity (@AJ_DOOM) and Nef from The Soul Dojo with me.

We waited 3 hours and then Blu showed up and did a 30 minute set and left.

We paid the City of Trees a visit. I'll post pictures and maybe even footage from the event we attended at Beatnik Studios as soon as I can.

Summer days in my neighborhood don't feel complete without a visit from the Mexican ice cream man.

Wednesday, July 14, 2010

Wendy has a sound system in her car that rumbles so hard I couldn't keep the camera straight. True story.

It's 2:30 AM in Hayward, California and I'm watching Don't Be A Menace.

Nothing beats laying on the couch on a weeknight when there's nothing better to do.

Daisy came back from Mexico a minute ago with my mother, and they brought us goodies.

These are my personal favorite. Marshmallow pops.

Yep, they're really called "CocoNugs."

Tamarind candy. Classic.

This stuff right here is used to make "Micheladas." They're like Mexican Bloody Mary's. Good stuff.

Everyone loves Obleas. If you don't, you just haven't tried them.

aaaaand I got this cool shot glass. Great success.
