This is an ode to my all time favorite pair of shoes. I like to think the people who read this blog are a lot like me. We don't wait in line for paper mache Jordans and we don't empty out our pockets for Yeezys. We sure as hell don't kill our feet wearing Chuck Taylors. We keep it classic and comfortable.

Because fashion is what fashion was.

Meet my friend, El Guapo. He enjoys tacos, big butts and beer.

El Guapo's the nicest dude I know. The other day my rearview mirror fell off and he put krazy glue on it and held it in place for like an hour. Friends like El Guapo are hard to find.

Happy Music Monday. Smile as much as you can this week! Or don't, whatever makes you happy I won't judge you.

I'd never been to a farmer's market until now. It's a cool place to spend a Saturday walking around in a neon shirt with matching shoes.

I'm guessing this farmer's market at the ferry building in the city has to be one of the best since SF has the second highest density of tree hugging, organic herb loving hippies.. after berkeley of course. All of this greenery was fertilized with a weeks worth of hippie poo.

Poppin.

Boccalone has the best pork in the city (They were on the Food network a bunch of times). They're in the ferry building and they make this insane mustard and powerful sandwiches like the "Mess Piggy." Few ingredients. Ton of flavors. That's pork done right and I know pork. (see: our logo)

Humphry Slocombe has a booth at the farmer's market.

Look at how crazy the flavor names are. My kind of ice cream.

Secret Breakfast is corn flakes and bourbon. It's their signature flavor and I can't put how amazing it tastes into words. I can't explain it. You have to try it so you can love it and buy a drum full of it.

Nice view.

James Logan High School's prom was on this boat 3 years ago. I know because I spent 300 bucks on prom tickets for Wendy and I so we could be there. Back when 300 bucks felt like 3,000 to me.

We got a delivery at Piccola today.

Don't scroll down yet and just look at the first picture to preserve the mystery of the box. A big white styrofoam box-who am I kidding you probably looked at all of the pictures before you even started reading this paragraph.

Nobody told me Halibut was this enormous. I saw a huge fish at the academy of sciences a few months ago and I thought that was as big as fish got but I was dead wrong. I thought this one was big but apparently its pretty small compared to how big they can be. (If you still say "that's what she said" in 2012 you deserve to be made fun of.)

This bad boy came all the way from America Jr. or Canadia as the locals call it.

Today I learned Halibut is a huge fish that swims around on its side and that's why one side is white because if you swim on your side it will turn white and your eye will eventually migrate to the side you don't swim on.

The end.

I walked in to a Toys R Us the other day and I felt bad because when I was a kid I'd walk in and my imagination would run wild. Now I walk in and I want to leave right away because everything in there is sticky.

I collect Hot Wheels so what? You collect unemployment and this Monte Carlo looks like something Curren$y would drive.

This mexican shrimp cocktail looks like something I would eat.

I think I'm one of the few people left who enjoys a good moon pie. I started eating them when I saw that episode of The Simpsons where Jasper Beardly froze himself at the Kwik-e-Mart and when he thawed he thought moon pies were from the future. I was 8 when I saw that and I went and bought a moon pie at the gas station right after. I've been hooked ever since.

Look at that. I don't even know what's in them but that doesn't change how happy they make me.

The color of this girl's shoes will be the color of the summer. Now you can either heed this warning and start buying yourself stuff in this color or you can wait until everyone else does it like sheep. Choose wisely,

and keep your eyes peeled for "el barto."

Wekfest happened in the city yesterday and I missed it again but I didn't miss Keane's video of street artist Girafa.

Music Monday has come again. Kid Sister and Yeezy.

I collect everything. Not because I'm a hoarder (I hope) but because there's just so much cool stuff out there. I got this really cool Dunder Mifflin office supply kit. I don't know if I'm gonna use it because I'd hate to lose any of it.

Who wants to say they had a Dunder Mifflin paper shredder and lost it? Nobody that's who.

I was gearing up for the Spring at Atlas and I saw they have some new artwork up.

Really dope art installation by an artist named Allister Lee from Toronto.

I got in the drive thru at Pollo Loco with AJ and the line was crazy. Who knew that's where everyone's at on a Friday night. This guy spent the entire car ride picking lint out of his eyes. You've got linty eyes bro.

I spotted the mark of the ham at the drive thru window. I don't remember if I put this here the last time I drove through this place but even if I did it's still there. Don't take it down.

The chicken looks better in commercials but tastes better in real life.

This morning I pulled up to the house and I saw what looked like an unmarked cop car. I thought maybe the police had found all the dead bodies and they came to pick me up but it turns out Hockmed just got another car.

I don't know how he does it or why none of his cars have any kind of stereo but it's none of my business so I don't ask. I do assume that he steals them. Hockmed if you're reading this: I'm just kidding.

In his back seat he had some boxes filled with random linens and towels that said "Marriott Hotels and Resorts" on them. Strange.

We drove over to his ex-girlfriend's house and he told me to get out and record him burning out because he felt like taunting her with the noise. I don't even think she was home. Hockmed's a weird guy and I've ran out of things to say.

Feel free to spread this teaser for "Beats By Jovis" all over your social networks. That's what we shot it for.

Tonight I had dinner at the Mission's best kept Japanese secret: Eiji.

I came here for the same reason I heard other folks come for. The Mochi with a fresh strawberry inside. I've been in search of this for a good long while now and when I saw Benny Gold put this on his instagram I had to know where he got it from so I could come try it myself.

It was better than I imagined and it was the last one they had left.

Oh yeah Eiji has great Sushi too. Amazing Hamachi.

MF DOOM, because the Grammys happened yesterday and the metal faced villain deserves a tribute.

Kanye told us not to let him get in his zone. He put that leather skirt on and got in his zone.

Happy Music Monday.

Tapioca Express (or Tapex as the locals call it) is pretty popular around these parts. I had never been there until my asian girlfriend took me there by force.

It's a Korean Fast Food/Bubble Milk Tea/Cafe spot where all the young asian cool cats hang out and smoke cigarettes. Their spicy string beans are pretty good. What fast food place you know serves their food while it's still steamy?

They have fried calamari and I'm a sucker for some calamari. I thought Tapex was only in the bay area but that is far from the truth. At the same time they're not all over the US so I still consider it blogworthy.

Look at the owners driving past us in style.

The other day I told Rob I had bloggers block and I asked him for advice. He told me I don't even have to leave the house to blog. He showed me these sites and told me to "be awesome" because "you're only as good as your last blog post."

Sound advice. (I left my glass water bottle in the freezer too long and this happened.)

You ever get lost on the way home from the mall and end up discovering a part of town you never knew existed? I have and I ended up in Redwood City's downtown. I got to see Oscar Mayer's Weinermobile.

It's one of only 8 Weinermobiles that drives all over the country. It's cooler in person.

How is it that Redwood City's History Museum is easier on the eyes than the White House. That says a lot about how ugly the White House is and how nice this palace of a museum is.

Last night I helped shoot a buzzed driving ad geared towards high school students.

It was an amazing experience. I'd like to thank the San Carlos Police Department for being so helpful. For liability purposes I'm not allowed to discuss what happened in detail or share the identity of the students who took part or the hot lady cop who helped us.

No matter how hard I tried to get a picture of her face she managed to dodge the camera every single time.

Happy Music Monday, here's my top 3 joints of the week.

I was always listening to this when I was in high school. I didn't even know they'd made a video for this until I looked the song up on youtube a few days back. The Quasimoto costume is awesome.

I think it's safe to say we're all glad to have MIA back in action. This video is nuts. Someone tell me how they tilted their cars like that so I can try that with mine.

Im gonna make my car tilt just so I can bump this while I drive down your street.

Enzo peed in the house and I threw him out. He doesn't look too happy about it.

Wendy introduced me to these a few years ago and I've been hooked ever since. I didn't know they were so popular until I brought them up in conversation with the homeless people I'm always hanging out with. They like them.

If you're not a DJ but you want to make your friends think you're a DJ click here and enjoy. You're welcome.

I was at the Cinedome last night watching a dry run (that's what we call it when we watch a movie before its officially out in theaters). These are my old stomping grounds.

I watched the movie about the whales who couldn't make it out to the ocean until Jim from The Office and Sarah Marshall helped them with the help of the ugly Charlie's Angel and Ted Danson. I actually really liked it.

Who's gonna watch that new Sacha Baron Cohen movie? Me too.

I worked at this place for almost 2 years before finally getting fired a month ago. It was my time to go and I had gotten away with a ton of crap by the time my number was up. I'll make a long story short by saying someone came at me crazy and I shot them in the face with a fire extinguisher. I tried to get away with it but I caused way too much damage to get out of this one clean.

It's been a month and I already miss this place a bunch. This job wasn't about the money because the pay was horrible, I make way better money booking photo gigs and running drugs out of my basement. This job was more about the people I was surrounded with. They're some of the coolest people I've ever met.

The incident happened up here in the booth. By the time I was done with it the whole room (including the incredibly expensive reels of film) was covered in the thick white powder that comes out of those fire extinguishers. The guys have actually done a great job cleaning it up.

This is the brand new fire extinguisher they got to replace the one I used on the guy.
