CHANTAL GUILLON
Macarons have taken the world by storm. They're French cookies but they look like colorful little hamburgers. Chantal Guillon just opened up in Palo Alto. Its a Macaronery? Macaronist Shop? They sell Macarons.

HEPPLER'S TED TALK
It's 9 AM in Sacramento and Wendy and I are in Rob and Tamie's hotel room. Rob's about to give a TED talk that'll be streamed live online for the whole world to see. It's the eleventh hour and he's putting the finishing touches on his presentation.
TED talks are a pretty big deal. People like Steve Jobs and Stephen Hawking have given TED talks. Anyone else would be a nervous wreck right now but Rob manages to keep his cool and makes jokes about how small my pants look on me.
We're downstairs now, Rob and Tamie are reaching out to their peoples to make sure they're watching online when he goes up.
We have about an hour to kill so Rob does a practice run of his talk. He's performing with Poetri Smith. Poetri's a slam poet, actor, comedian and also happens to be creative genius Jimmy Smith's brother.
Rob says to me "Hey Jorge, wanna see Poetri's acting debut?" THIS IS HIS ACTING DEBUT.
We take the long walk over to the ballroom where everyone's waiting for Rob and Poetri to arrive.
The ballroom's quiet and everyone watches us walk in. Its a small crowd of other TED speakers and their attendees.
Rob gets his mic on and heads towards the stage.
Rob starts telling his story and almost immediately everyone starts gasping in shock. He talks about going to prison, having a daughter, working in advertising, and how mad Kanye was because the Coraline Dunks Rob designed were the first Nike shoes with glow in the dark soles. Yeezy's will forever be second.
I'll always be proud to say I was there when Hep gave his first TED talk. I know it won't be his last. He killed it. (If you missed it will be posted on youtube soon, I will post it on here as soon as it is available)

Poetri recites an awesome poem about monsters that live inside of us. We can all relate.
Twenty minutes later we're at Sacramento International Airport dropping Rob and Tamie off. They're hurrying back to LA because they have reservations at Chateau Marmont for tonight. (Humble Brag)

THALIA
I was reading People at the dentists office and I saw a familiar face.
That's Thalia, she's a Mexican singer, actress and all around beautiful lady. She was and always will be my first crush. Sort of like JLO except not slutty and more attractive. The article I was reading was about her newest hobby: taking pictures of random stuff. Just like me! It trips me out to know that someone I was so madly in love with when I was a kid has something in common with me. Thalia says she carries her camera wherever she goes and she takes pictures of whatever she comes across. I assume she sees cooler stuff than I do since she's a millionaire latin celebrity and I'm.. not.
I remember seeing her Novela "Marimar" with my mom when I was a little kid. Not too long ago I worked with a guy who would always sing this and he was from the Philippines. Apparently Marimar was huge there too.
Sad ending to this story. She married Tommy Mottola and I was heartbroken. Tommy Mottola's the same guy who deflowered Mariah Carey. Rumors are he cheats on her all the time.
EDIT: Not so sad ending since I ended up with my awesome girlfriend Wendy and Thalia ended up with wrinkly old rich guy ball breath.
Sucks to suck, Thalia.

MISCELLANOUS + MUSIC MONDAY
Eating healthy is probably the trendiest thing you can do right now so I figured I'd take the plunge and change up my eating habits. It sucks pretty big nads but at least I give myself one cheat day a week where I can eat some of the things I like instead of the gross healthy stuff I eat every other day.
Ever since I started eating healthy I've missed Mexican Sweet Bread the most. Better than donuts, cheaper than donuts, cooler than donuts.
I've been meaning to show off these Bulgari Pellegrino's I got at Mekanism. I was gonna get five bottles but when I told the girls about Pellegrino's collabs they were all "I want one too since you said they're cool." SO, I ended up with three. No hard feelings.
I've seen a lot of girls wearing sneakers in public and I'm not a fan but it's happening. Wendy's always in sandals, boots or heels but a couple of years ago she bought these Air Max Infrared's. She said she liked the colors and they were comfortable. She wore them once, indoors. Now they sit in her closet acquiring value.
Beautiful shoes.
I like how feminine and confident Wendy is. She's not afraid to be herself unlike those girls who pretend to like guy stuff so guys will like them. You know who you are.
Even her lip balm is designer.
Because Burt's Bees is for poor people.
Just added this drawing AJ gave me to my collection of Pig art. It's me turning into a Pig and eventually the Ham that is La Pink One's logo. It shows this blog is a part of me in a funny creative way. At one point I look sort of like ManBearPig.
I got a thing for Pigs. Entire nations of people won't touch them, they're delicious, they'll eat their own babies and they have curly tails.

What a week. First Bernardo (a producer from G4's "Attack of The Show") instagrammed himself wearing a ham snapback and now this! I sent my first snapback to Canada today. It's one hat but knowing someone so far away will be wearing a piece of La Pink One has me totally stoked.

BEST BIRTHDAY EVER
If God is really ubiquitous that means he probably reads this blog so I have to start by thanking him for giving me another year on this earth. Thank you Wendy for the amazing cake and every other present, you are the light of my life. Thank you Adrian for the cigar and AJ for the drawing it means a lot. Thank you Mom, Dad and Daisy for your support and love. Thanks Heppler for mentoring me and opening my eyes as well as opening doors for me in this industry. Lastly, thank you to all my readers I know you see my vision and I have love for all of you.

OPM TIL ITS OVER
My birthday isn't until tomorrow but I'm already the happiest boy in the world since I discovered the birthday cake my girlfriend got me. She knows I'm a huge Dom Kennedy fan so she got me the OpM cake from the "My Type Of Party" video. As soon as I opened the box the song started playing in my head. This is gonna be the best Birthday I've ever had. Thank You Wendy!

THE HUNDREDS MAGAZINE
I really like that things still exist in print. Like books and magazines. Print ads have always been so dope to me especially Louis Vuitton ones. They're probably one of the main reasons why I like to take pictures today. Almost everything is online and paperless now but I still think magazines are the shit and I hope they never go anywhere.
This thing was ten dollars but it was worth the money. So much attention was paid to detail and its printed on shiny, thick, durable paper so you can throw it around in the bathroom while you drop a deuce without worrying about it tearing.
Oh and Rita Ora's on the cover. No complaints here.

A few weeks back I got this picture with a message that read "Don't show this to anyone." Now that the magazine is out and everyone can see what they were doing you can all see it.

My mentor, drug dealer and scapegoat: Rob Heppler.
